The gorgeously muted colours of Robin Cracknell’s film photographs conjure beautiful nostalgic reveries and a yearning for childhood lost. The artist used various analogue techniques to produce a unique portrait of youth and longing. His photographs often depict children, water and are sometimes covered by text. They present a portrait of humanity which not only in the subject but in the wonderfully tactile photographic surface show ordinary life through the unique perspective of his camera lens.
